3:45 AM - Power flickering, but still holding steady

The eye is on shore now, Houston itself is getting hit pretty solid, but I'm watching the track and hopeful it maintains a more northerly track instead of north westerly. We'll see about that. Our local evacuees are now without power at their home and their church and anxious to get word on the status of their home. Starting to get rain here, some pretty solid winds, and a little bit of power flicker. I bet our satellite TV will go out first, then we're hoping the power stays on so we can still get to the Internet, and thus watch TV on-line.

As of now....patiently waiting on the next pot of Starbucks to finish brewing. :)

we hope your power does stay on so that we can continue to get your reports. It is good to know that you are all still secure.

you won't believe it...
our power just went out...
if tradition holds, the Bushnell city generators will kick in...
usually takes about 20 minutes...
light breezes here in Bushnell, IL...
been raining on and off all night...
light mist now and some lightning off to the SE...
DSL is off of course so can communicate as long as the battery in my laptop stays on and the Spring wireless card picks up a connection...

Hmmm...what a coincidence!!! Well, this may seem strange, but I hope your power comes back on soon! :)

I don't know where you blog spot is actually based but the time is weird as it is 4:15 AM here now...
of course, it is a Sprint card not a Spring card...

pit stops in the night are not so unusual when you reach a certain age... HA

also not unusual for me to stay up after 4:00...

as a parent, I am sure you understand the concern one has when your family is in harm's way...
